I ordered an can of Tresemme hair spray just for modeling. My wife has borrowed it a couple times :giggles: But she too generally doesn't use hair spray
Thanks,

No worries, Carlos! That’s what I get from making a comment from the Peanut Gallery, lol. You’re absolutely right. Although I think there’s some weathering and abrasion on the entire wing surface in at least two photos you shared. It’s definitely true that the wing walks look more intact. Bravo!

Carlos and John—rubber cement is fantastic. That’s how a lot of X-Wings were distressed. Definitely worth trying.

It’s from the old Floquil line of railroad colors in the 1 1/2 ounce bottles Tom. Long out of production, so unless you find a model railroad store that still has old stock of the stuff, you’re out of luck. Sorry. I sure do miss the Floquil paint line.
I miss Floquil, too, Carlos. A superior formula, great coverage and strength! Why other companies can’t release at least the basic set of colors must come down to shrinking markets and rising production costs.

Progress from the past two days… yesterday I did touch ups where needed of the OD and Neutral Gray. I also masked off the fabric covered flight control surfaces and painted those with different versions of the same colors. Then today I airbrushed on a gloss clear coat overall to get it ready for decals.

The decals are minimal, so that part should go quickly…

Very, Very Nice, Carlos! Great photos, to boot! I like seeing the difference in painted metal versus painted fabric very much! Bravo! Also, I think the gloss spray actual helped to somewhat distribute the peeling effect you made overall and also very effectively! Very, Very Nice!
