Yes indeed!

Thanks, Mike! Thanks, Carlos! You’ve always been supportive of me and that made a difference! Ditto many others here! We always were a small tribe of warriors who came together from all walks of life! Common purpose, united!

Here’s an actual seatbelt for reference!

Canvas and leather held in place with what looks like maybe 1" line and metal grommets... I suppose thats a tad more secure than the lap bars of some roller coasters...

Carlos! Truly this is like taking flight in lawn furniture; I assume that the rope was tied down to the wooden brace used to secure the back half of the seat. I’ve been trying to read through our duelists build up see how you made your seat belts in 1/48, but I can’t find the exact spot. How did you do this?

Bruce, I used thin strips of fabric medical tape and some wire bent to shape for the buckles. In 1/48 and that small opening it was good enough.

Thanks, Carlos. I’m not sure why but when I read through the original thread, I missed those photos. Thank you so much for taking the time to include those. I was debating between some form of cloth or some form of bent plastic to use as seatbelts. Your solution is ingenious. Thanks again.

Masking tape also works well for making belts. I just like the texture of the medical tape.

Carlos, I don’t think it’s a secret that your 1/48 Revell Sopwith Camel is a favorite for me amongst your outstanding projects. I think the micro mesh fabric appearance was a great choice by you. I will probably try bending and forming extremely thin plastic. I’m thinking I’ll build everything as one piece then detail paint by sable brush; I think plastic would be easier for me. The brush gives me max control.
