Decal sheet has yellowing film. When I remove the decals from the sheet, it's leaving behind yellowing film behind on decals - on air cleaner and on right side valve cover.

I read somewhere of leaving decal sheet to bright light to help remove the yellowing(?). We'll see since I taped the decal sheet by the edges under my shop light.

The ‘67 was a favorite for me as a teen. But, this one look awfully nice.

Body already painted Silver Lilac. Just got to figure out interior colors. Thinking 2 tone light grey/silver Grey.

I was gonna go with white and silver lilac but thought against it.

Painted Silver Lilac. Used the flash on my phone camera to bring out the color better.

Gonna let this dry for couple days before spraying gloss clear.

I've made my decision on interior color. Going with straight up Gundam White - it has a tiny bit of greyish undertone that will compliment with the Silver Lilac exterior. The dashboard will still be silver lilac. :lashed:

Interior and seats painted Gundam White. Having second thoughts on the possibility of including the lilac to the panels. Not 100% committed to do so just yet.

I studied the rims on box cover to built up model kit on box sides and found a glaring discrepancy. Only the outside rims is chrome; the smooth spokes are a dull aluminum and every other space where lug nuts are is flat black (which is correct). I have AK Interactive 3rd Gen Dark Aluminum which is the perfect match as shown on the box cover of the real car.

A side experiment using white paint pen in my stash to practice painting lettering on a junk tire half. Tip is dried out but I managed to get it flowing. I soon find out the paint is way too thin and watery. I do recall it behaved the same way when I bought it new quite a few years ago.

I'm actually surprised this turned out better than expected. Not 100% finished but still need to dress it up before calling it done.
