How long should the "Funk" last?

Talk about anything modeling: kits, tools, paint, etc...

Double edged cure that one... Too many GBs can lead to ovèrextension... I think that is one reason for my current mindset... Too much on my modeling plate...

Not me mate... Like I said, too much on my plate right now and no mojo flowing to get it cleared up...

I read romp in the hay and went looking for the ............. OH yeah, PG forum. Today, I think the funk is due to getting sick. I think it coming to fruition - have a bit of a sore throat. Good thing I have a Doc appt tomorrow. I think Typhoid JimD sneezed on the keyboard! :giggles:

Our youngest dog, Baxter, who has the same personallity as Jim from Taxi and Sheldon from Big Bang Theory, is staning at my feet barking like a wildman. Who knows what he wants? Been out, has food, has toys and when I go to pick him up, he runs off. Great game.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Or maybe have go at something different - A car maybe?

sorry to hear about the hands though.

What did you used to fly?
That is some good advice. And as others said, it will pass.

Lyle, my friend, you are most definitely not alone! We all go through it at various times. It's one of the reasons I have model railroading as a hobby as well. One thing I've learned is to never compare my skill to others. I have no idea what kind of training or experience they have, but I do know what I've been through. Between the abuse my body took while in the Army, my heart meds, and the fact that all this home improvement makes my fingers swell to the point they barely bend, I'm just grateful I can still hold a fork. Although, if I couldn't, I might not gain so much weight

My bench is cluttered with 2 builds, my garage/man cave is a mess, I have 4 kits waiting to be worked on, etc, etc, etc...

The only advice or knowledge I can share, is just be patient. Your mojo hasn't left, it's just burnt out a little. One day you'll start to tinker with something and before you know it, 3, 4, 5 hours will go by.

:that: It'll pass as everyone has already stated. I get the funk after a very long week at work sometimes. But I just sit at the bench and think of what I need to do and it all comes back.
