Goodbye Eduard, Welcome Yahu !

Post by KSaarni »

Well, the subject sounds perhaps a little bit dramatic...

And I might get some sharp comments back....

but I can't help it... it's sort of what I feel at this moment when it comes to after market parts regarding instrument panels....
Yahu is the new king on the block, Eduard being still the kid... :-)

I have read and seen pictures of Yahu's instrument panels, how good they are etc. But never seen them "live"

So, while planning to start my next project, Airfix new Boulton Paul Defiant 1/72 kit, I decided to pimp it up a little bit, by ordering a couple of AM parts, one being Yahu's instrument panel...

And today the postman brought the box.. After I opened the package, I almost fell off the chair...
What can I say..
Please have a look at the pictures below, shwoing Yahu's high standard instrument panel, real 3D, just amazing!
And remember, this is 1/72 scale!

That looks awesome, never heard of Yahu, but it looks nice. Did it come painted or is that your handiwork?

Very impressive indeed!

I wish I could.... but nope... what you see in the pics is how it came.

Readily assembled and painted. So, it just needs to be glued into place. It has even sticker "built-in", so no extra CA glue needed. Though, I don't have a clue how good that glue is... And reasonable prices taking in consideration the quality!

Yahu is pretty new Polish company.

Wow - never heard of them but that is very impressive so I'll check them out.

I wonder if Hannants carries their line :hmm:

Thanks Kari!

I agree, Kari, Yahu is definitely going to give Eduard some healthy competition. Yahu entering the scene is good news for us all.
Looking at your Defiant IP, it appears to me that Yahu is getting better quality as they gain experience. Here is the DH82 Tiger Moth panels, which I believe is an earlier Yahu release and not as high quality as yours:

I'm glad Yahu is getting better quality control, and hope they're around for a long time.

Amazing. Now, this could get me interested in some AM cockpit stuff....That is sharp. Please post their information in the tips.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
