Italeri 1/48 Macchi MC.205 Veltro

Post by Jeeves »

My thanks to the review copy from https://www.italeriusa.com/product-deta ... d=ITAS2765

Just received this kit in the mail- that was fast! Looking forward to this humidity dying out so I can work upstairs without suffocating...need to finish the Rally car and make room...

Decals are definitely different and include the smoke rings I could never replicate with an airbrush-

And they represent 6 schemes you can choose from:

Think I might go with option B...

I really like the lines of this fighter-- sort of reminds me of what would happen if a 109 and 190 were mated together...

That looks like it will be a great build. That is awesome that they even included the smoke ring camo decals!

That looks like a very complete packedge with the smoke ring. Good to see major manufacturers picking up on these kind of things.

Nice to be sure. Otherwise, I'd have to try and freehand circles. They would turn out like this.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

The decals are definitely a nice addition. I'd like to see how they behave and how they react to decal solutions.

Now that the bench is cleared off, I have had some space to start this one....
Office is pretty much done-

Kit decals for the panel settled in nicely...

About to close things up and then the wait for some Italeri paint begins...sadly the local shops don't really stock colors for Italian birds so I had to go online...and then only found the top color...looking for alternatives to the bottom side shade of gray...
