Finally work continues with the Fw190 !
Today it was time to do those things that are not my absolute favorite tasks in a build.. in other words masking the canopy, using the P-masks black vinyl masks.. Not only on the "outside" but I masked also the inside of the cockpit, first time ever.
The Revell kit comes with two different type of canopies.. but hey, there is more! Both canopy types have two different versions depending if you want an open canopy or closed! My build will be "open doors"... But there was a minute of horror, after masking I thought while test-fitting that I had masked the "closed"-version canopy!! But luckily this was not the case, just a minor error in my test-fitting....
I must say, even if using readily cut masks, the work was not amusing.. Especially because some of the masking pieces did not really match the canopy..
But after an hour (!) of struggling, I finally managed to mask everything. During this process, I had to remove the masking a couple of time, and holy malony, the glue is really really strong. I must say, I prefer the classic Tamiya tape, it's good. It's just so good...
