jkim wrote:Very nice, Kenny! Congrats on pushing through the initial difficulties and getting the wiring done! It looks great and is always worth pointing out when someone asks, "So... what kind of detail did you add on this one?"

I used the Eduard PE wiring harness on my F6F build. Yes, it is mounted behind the ring but it looks ok when viewed from the front.

Ah, okay, John. Thank you for the photo. That is nice-looking. Looks way better than when I added wires from the back. That’ll be good indeed, on the Hellcat. And at least I know I can do it from scratch, too.

Nice work, Kenny X. Persistence is a great quality. I also have implemented the philosophy of “be quick but don’t hurry” in many ways... modeling is still “slow time” for me, but I am going to be a bit more “speedy” with decisions and try doing more things...

The difference between the first photo of your engine and the last should be kept. What a lesson those before and after photos bring to us.

Today is the anniversary of D Day... so I am mainly thinking of those moments and all those who served that day.

Also I tuned into your thread on the last page saw John’s engine and wanted to write how grateful I am that truly inspired modeling work occurs on every thread here.

Bruce,

Thank you! I’m a persistent guy, that’s for sure. Sometimes (often) to a serious fault LOL. As to pace, the important thing is that you’re happy with your new pace. Sometimes you just gotta go for it and let the chips fall where they may.

And speaking of just going for it, I just ordered this bad-boy for the forthcoming Hellcat build:

This is really turning out to be on heckuva build here. I'm a stickler for the details and truly admire the work that you're putting into this beast.

Thank you so much!

I’m becoming kind of a stickler for details, too. A really nice build can happen whenever you put that extra time into it, I’m seeing. And I’ve learned so much- paint chipping, radial engine wiring, and haven’t even gotten to the salt weathering yet HAHA!!
