Yup, exciting to see how much it shrinks/sinks...
Here how it looked 1 minute after I had added it.
I can however now, 1,5 hrs later, see that is has sunked nicely in the gap, but it will probably need one more layer..
Still slightly soft, so no sanding yet..

Re: What is liquid styrene?
Thank you, Bkacksheep, Torben and Kari for reactivating this thread. “You’ve enlarged my mind!” (Which is what Dennis Hopper’s photojournalist says about Kurtz... “The man enlarged my mind!”) I still am reluctant. I don’t know why, though. I am curious to see how the big seam appears when it cures, Kari. Will you have to redefine the edge. I have the strongest memory of my dad “sistering” (laying side by side for strength) strip plastic against a ragged edge then bonding the plastic with liquid glue, then planing a new edge. What a brave new world this is!

Great repair work—it’s all what lies beneath that matters and you have handled that so well. Was the initial cause the edge of the molding?

Noh, the edge was good and the entire "front" joint was also (originally) very tight. It almost snapped into place without any gap what so ever. When dryfitting, everything looked fine.speedgraflex wrote:Great repair work—it’s all what lies beneath that matters and you have handled that so well. Was the initial cause the edge of the molding?
But then something happened, after applying glue (Mr Cement S) I let it cure over the night.. and found the gap afterwards. Very strange
