Nice, but I still can’t get used to that metallic color. Whew!

LOL I’ve grown to like it and enjoy spraying it. It’s a shame Mitsubishi didn’t spray their gear bays in this color like Nakajima did, apparently. It’d add a nice splash of color. Oh well.

Room some time to wire the cockpit floor and sidewalls, and get some paint down this morning:

Now the add on stuff like the wiring is what I love to see. Those little bits of extra effort that once combined with other similar additions lift a build to above average or extraordinary.

Adding these in a 1:32 cockpit isn’t so bad either! I don’t know if I could do this in 1:48, but so far on this one it’s working out pretty well so far. I’m just taking ‘er slow and easy at the moment. Still lots more cockpit pets to assemble and paint and wire-up yet, but I’ll get there.

Fun with cockpit detail painting and wiring!

What I’m going for with this wiring is “This looks nice, it’s interesting” as opposed to “Hey guys, look what I just learned how to do!”

Hah! My understanding of the distinction hinges upon “interesting,” which is a word with a dual edge to its meaning. Just keep boundary busting. The work shows your disciplined approach!
