That looks sharp. The A looks so different from the D model. Both super cool. Probably my favorite Russian aircraft.
Thanks,

Hi Borg,
BorgR3mc0 wrote:Cool photos Stuart! Interesting to see the panel lines on a real one. Some people always say you cannot see panellines in real life or at a distance. But in these pictures they can be seen clearly. I agree that a nice Soviet scheme would look better.
It is normally the case I think, but these Hind's were probably built with iron and ship's rivets! I think a lot of the panels over my head are the engine cowlings etc. so maybe they stand out more.

Where is that museum located?

Bruce is indeed right - it's at the Midland Air Museum near Coventry. It's a great little museum and I go there quite often. Sometimes you get lucky and they have various aircraft open.

I did a post about it on my blog a few weeks back; https://smallcaradventures.com/2019/04/ ... ir-museum/, and I'm going to do another soon now that I've taken a few more pictures over the weekend.

I am going to visit the UK this summer but I fear that midlands is a bit to far (I will be in the near York ). Pity because I always like to visit local aircraft museums.

Anyway, the build is finished. Final result at:

Cool! I love York - it's a stunning place and there's so much to do there, including a rather nice aviation museum just on the outskirts, so you're in luck.
