speedgraflex wrote:Incredible finish! I have not practiced dot filtering as a weathering technique so I downloaded your photos from the work in progress. The exterior came out really well. What I appreciate is you always think through the "final flourish" as my grandfather would say—the project always ends up on a proper base with a proper setting to support the work. It's a great story telling technique and I sincerely appreciate what you have done here. The figures are pretty amazing--and each one has their own personality. Highest praise. Congratulations!
Thank you Bruce! I know dot filtering is a older technique that I don't see used much anymore, but when it comes to making something dusty and dirty it can't be beat. For me I have to have a model on a base. To me no matter how great a tank, boat or aircraft look just sitting on a table or shelf doesn't look right to me. That's why I make a base for everything.

Bruce had asked me for some more photos so he could add them to facebook, figured I would post them here as well.

The rear left corner of the base broke off on my way back from my IPMS meeting I need to glue that back down and work the ground around it to hide it.

Oooh, that is so nice! You can feel the heat of the burning sun and the reflecting sand while looking at the photos.
Great work from top to bottom!

Thank you! It's the best thing I completed in 2019.

Certainly, top two! Wasn’t the Storch a 2019 build?
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Yes it was, along with the great trimaster 190 from Bruce and the Bandai Going Merry.
