I think the best thing to do it just enjoy it for what it is Lyle! build a kit, finish a kit and enjoy the process of building. If it turns out you're not happy with it when it's finished - learn a bit from it and start another - that's why we have stashs!

Or maybe have go at something different - A car maybe?

What did you used to fly?

One thing I do find that helps me get the mojo flowing again- kit choice. If you have just finished an extensive project or two with lots of AM or self induced add ons, try building something simple. Low parts counts, simple monotone finish, etc. Get one or two of those knocked out and then I often find myself ready to take on another more challenging project.

I'm often the other way - I build so many simple and/or older kits that I sometimes feel like building something more complicated...

No truer words have ever been written on a model forum, anywhere at anytime...

We can all be better at this, even if only just a tiny bit on each project.

If it lasts much longer beatings will commence...

My funk is mostly during the winter months. Handbrushing I can do but the missus isn't too keen on me doing any airbrushing in the cellar due to fear of fumes waiffing upstairs. Not worth the aggravation listening to her complaining. I'd rather wait til warm spring weather to do it in my garage. Plus, I get the best lighting while airbrushing.
