I love these old Matchbox kits - they are what I used to mainly make when I was a lad - as it's all the hardware shop in my village sold - you could buy a kit for £1-99! I used to build them without paint and play with them with my toy soldiers until they fell to bits! - good memories!
1.99 eh? Thats about what I payed for this one!
through doodles and super quick research, I decided on this scheme. Maybe have one wing be a replacement as an honor to that multicolored plastic!

That sounds like a typical Matchbox kit, a bit cluncky but with a very nice fit.

ha! I wish!!!!
I just have a "to-go" box that I keep a few paint jars, some sanding sticks, glue, and a hobby knife in. I also stick the model in there too if it can fit. We keep shoe boxes around the house just for this kind of purpose, they are great storage!

i have some in the stash again, also brought others in the revell package as the halifax, walrus, fury and.. can't remember

building energy seems to come in spurts....
but here's the pit all sealed up
and setting the dihedral. There was a bit of a gap at the root, so I used some more thick superglue to fill it.

Looks really nice - the pit will look good through the clear parts.
I have two MB kits in the stash - an A-7D and a F9f - they both seem really nice kits

Ive gotten the canopy on and had to sand it a bit to make it flush. Some polishing with fine-grit pads, and a coat of future cleared things up
First coat of paint is on too! Pics soon
