Did all the plumbing come in the kit? The braided wiring and all? If not, how did you do that? Frikkin' fabulous!

the wiring did not come in the kit. the ip panel wiring is actually fiber optic strands
i stole out of swmbo's lamp out in the living room . (she didn't notice it looks a little bare)
the braid is for model cars to make the radiator hoses. it looked about the right size so i used it.
one could also use picture hanging wire , its multi stranded . for the individual wires going to the control boxes i used fine copper wire , one piece at a time .

The braided stuff in the wheel well is for car models? Nice! What is it called and where do you find it? Looks like it would be great for oxygen lines with some Green paint...

yes "detail master" is the brand name. 1/25 scale braided radiator hose.
i even have the fittings for the ends (sold separately of course) .

if it is of any help i also have berkley braided nylon fishing line 25 LB test .
it's black and very flexible. i used it to simulate winch cable on tow truck models i have built .

Oh I still have plenty of parachute cord guts to fill all my tow cable needs... I'll have to have a look around for that radiator line. Thanks.

made some progress on this kit. something I have been thinking about since I started working on it.
working cannon bay covers. finally got enough motivation to pull it off. photo etch piano hinges made for 1/25 truck kits.
very tedious work and took the better part of last Monday to get to this point.
the only problem is the middle panel between the covers sits a little high off the fuse especially at the rear . it came out a little too wide and had to raise it to get the best fit . i left it sit for a few days and it bugs me less than it did before. would be a tough fix. I have read that the covers don't fit that well on the real one . anyone care to comment ?
should I fix or run it ?

Nice work Gino - and a great idea.

I can see what you mean - it does sit a little high, but I suspect it'll be less noticeable under paint, and if you display it with the doors open you can't see it.
