Another really interesting WIP thread Monty - interesting to see the stages of the IP and Cockpit construction.
Looking forward to seeing where this progresses.

There are more to come OWL... mostly to do with the (a) nose and (b) the intakes and the rest of the lower body. its pretty nasty gap. I had to use a combo of Tamiya epoxy putty then once dried I leveled it out with Tamiya regular white putty.
Another angle, not so much seen from the top

These are some of the areas that needs extra attention as I go on to building it
The nose section needed some putty as the area under the front pilot seat was rather concave. I need to fill that out. another area is the small radome cone. which does not curve properly with the the rest front end of the cockpit. for this one, all you need to do is scribe some plastic of the highest point... and sand it down... working your way so that the curve flows nicely from the canopy to the end of the nose.
the section where the wing meets the fuselage is incorrect, because its 3mm too thick. in a lot of reference photos,, the lower side of the wing roots matches smoothly with the body... but here, it creates a large step.

IP looks good and the stepped process is a plus. Hate your luck with all the putty but am sure you'll pull this all off. Been there.....done that!

I think Monty is an elf. Or a marvelous talent as a model builder. Either one works. Great work so far.

Keeps me from modelling myself to watch Monty do another magic build! Love the well done pictures and thorough explanations given in each step!
Rock on, Monty! Following!

Thanks for the support. I have just gotten through the ugly part of the filling exercise. now focusing on the upper section. this is way easier. I just used Tamiya regular white putty and clean the stuff up using acetone on a swab
Some say you can do it to with lacquer thinner on a swab. slightly wetting the swab and do quick swipes. Never done that before.. But I have done the acetone trick a few times. It works and saves details and saves A LOT of time potential describing etc.
I made a short video on how to use the Acetone. can't seem to embed the video… but here is the link.

I edited the Youtube link for you, Monty.
Great video, thanks for sharing! Doesn´t the acetone eat into the plastic?
