This is the 1/24th scale kit. Thought I'd try my hand at weathering something larger for a change

.
Here's where I'm at as of this afternoon.
Weathering is done with mostly oils at this point.
I got some really neat stowage items from Steve at Value Gear. They are from his 1/16th and 1/20th scale set.
So by picking and choosing appropriate size items I can go for a real "Indiana Jones" style diorama.

Cool! That engine picture is quite helpful for the ICM staff car I have here. When do I start building it? Maybe 2017 or something.
And btw - great build so far!

I love that engine. You've certainly captured the realism there!

Golly gee, G that is really neato. Nice decals, too.

Those decals rock! Way to go! Man I'd love to have some of those in my scale; then again they'd be too small to read!
Well done on the wood grain too! That looks very realistic!

Ok, it's been a very hectic holiday season here in Sin City. My lovely daughter came to visit and work was quite chaotic.
I flat coated the crates and the decals silvered in the worst way. I'm not sure why . I debated the issue for a week then stripped most of them for a repaint. I didn't like the final colors anyway.
New photos coming soon.
