1/72 Eduard FW-190's(Finished)

I take a guess here: it´s an Eduard kit so the engine could be included in the kit as seen on the pictures. Knowing Fermis a little bit he surely has added a lot of plumbing and hoses to the kit parts.

@ Fermis: the front gear box should be black, not blue...

As for the engine...one of the first pics to pop up on my search was blue....the more I looked, the more I found black....I repainted it last night!.

I only knew because I am working on the same engine, only in 1/32 these days. Got Revell´s new kit for a bargain...

A little further investigation into the engine I was looking at, revealed that it was a more modern Russian made copy that is being used in rebuilt warbirds.
Every other 190 I've built had the engine front painted black...not that it mattered at all, because it's totally hidden by the "fan".
I know I've seen the same Pratt & Whitney engines that range from shades of grey, black, blue/grey. Thought there may have been the same thing with 190 engines.

I wouldn´t have known if there wasn´t the Revell kit on my bench. But good reference books made the colour choice easy!

Yes, the rebuilt "FlugWerk" airframes make use of an Russian engine. Only one original airframe located in the States still has its running BMW engine, afaik.

Nah...we had a warm spell, so I've been out in the garage building a wine rack/shelf for the wife. I got "that look" from her when I was building all the new shelves for the war room (see "Revamping the war room" up in the modelling discussion hooch)...I told her it was practice for when I build her something awesome! She texted me a pic of some cheesy wine rack/shelf think.....PFFFF...challenge excepted!!!



Slots at bottom for hanging wine glasses, little shelf for shot glasses, shelf for wine bottles, and cabinets at the top for other drinking glasses!

Got some nasty weather headed this way...looks like a busy weekend keeping the runway and taxiways clean for "Survival Flight".....who won't be able to fly anyway

Not much to show for today (spent most of the day outside)...missing sprue came in, so I got the 3rd one caught up to the others....
