Pretty! I have build that kit to, quite a nice build.

Try the rigging, it is not as bad as you think.

lol, well, I ran rigging (stretched sprue) on my Polikarpov without much trouble, but that Heller kit already had the attachment points drilled in place. This one... was always meant as a quick build, just like when I was still in school.

An hour after printout I tried hitting one of them with brushed-on Future. Looks like that one ran a little. Testors inkjet film... may need a rattlecan coat of clear gloss? I only have clear flat here though.


So, I took some of the ones that were obviously too large, used them as testers. Brushed-on Future just causes runs, so that was out. SO… I have a can of Krylon acrylic "semi-matte" clearcoat. (Looks relatively glossy to me btw). Went outside in the full sun and gave the sheet three quick dusted coats so they'd dry quickly. Then followed up with two wet coats. Left one as-is, gave one 2 coats of Future, gave the last one 2 coats of liquid decal film. Applied to a plastic ruler...


With a coat of decal solvent...


A little wrinkly on the side with all the stitching details, will need to do some work with a sharp pin and decal solution to get it settled in.


The other side, a little silvering, but nothing that can't be fixed.
