I feel your pain on this. I'm building one of these too and it's been fighting me the whole time too. Still can't even get paint to stick!

Got it painted up today...





I know...booooring...grey on grey. I do love some grey on grey though!
Decals tonight.

Didn't do too much more, beyond the decals...which are mediocre. Most of the smaller markings, that should be grey, are metalic...with a blue tint to them. Just a quick brushing with some pastel chalk to "pop" the inconsistent panel lines.
Overall. I'd be happy to not see this kit come across my bench ever again. Minor accuracy issues, fit issues, missing details, etc. With a lot of extra work, you could make a nice F-18 out of it...but straight OOB AND with the MSRP...not for me!







Looks ok on the shelf...from across the room.

Congrats on completing a difficult model and making it look good. Here's hoping that the one I'm working on looks half as good as that.
