I wonder if modern youngsters, have they ever even heard of Captain Nemo, Nautilus or Jules Verne etc ?
Was a really exciting book, even the movies were exciting to watch as a kid..

Probably they heard more of "Minecraft" instead of Lovecraft. Maybe the Belgian illustrator Erik Kriek rings a bell to you, Kari? He published a great book o Lovecrafts most popular stories - as a comic book.

This is looking fantastic. I also saw the actual test shot in person, as well as the test build. It is an amazing kit that I hope to get too. I was told by the owner that the squid was made specifically to be used as a base for the sub and was thus modeled that way. Your use of the root as a base was brilliant!

Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Thats right Duke. The arms are supposed to support the ship. Every connection point ( arm > body) is shaped individually, so nothing can go wrong. Very clever engineering.

And GR.4 Desert Storm decals in Desert Oink! Is the "oink" relating on the piggy color? And was it GR.4 in 1991, really???

Not if the decals are the same scale as the Nautilus (1/144).


A propos "Nautilus:

Ladies & Gentlemen.... welcome to the salon.

If you have the chance to get this kit too, dont forget to take care of the inner sides of the windows, at least the big frame around. Theyre still visible and it would look a bit strange.

Afterwards, the windows were installed, including intensive masking with Vallejo Liquid mask. Of course I could have used the masks from the kit, this should work well also.

Did I mention that every part fits perfectly and the kit is very clever designed?

Nope, no bells were ringing... However, after some Googling I found pretty much info! Interesting!
