A hind in 72 scale from Zvezda

That Zvesda kit is light years ahead of the Hasegawa. Looks very good!

If I’m not mistaken, the Zvezda kit is recent (and obviously Russian in origin), while the Hasegawa kit is from the height of the Cold War in the 80’s when Soviet hardware was cloaked in mystery... even the stuff we had our hands on already!

Good to know! Never did helicopters and I might grab one if I see it.

I remember the first flanker from revell in late '80.. was little more than a toy

Two days of hard work on the hind


Seat belts added and seat and various sticks glued in place. Also clear glossy on instruments that needed to do.












Painted engines with metal brush, holed smaller exhausts and glued the two main inner assemplies










Gunner visor details, holed the mask part wheres eyes goes to see not yet glued






Today works:
Glued main rotor parts







After cleaning all contact surfaces (removed paint mainly) and glued fout windows i glued the fuselages. Basically all works good except for a long triangle under belly. Also wings on

Oh, that is a nasty gap! Maybe you can use styrene sot make a shim?

Yes i'll put styrene to fill the gap, this is not putty affair

That belly was a tricky fit. My examples looked about the same...I applied some brute force, along with a little wiggle and *SNAP*...nothing broke, but the gap narrowed to a point of almost being a decent fit. The biggest problem I had was the parts surrounding the engines. One was worse than the other, but both kits gave me a little trouble.

Probably this A version of the mold works better on engine zones and .. black hole under belly . I friend of mone have the mi-35 version, i'm curious to know if theres another variant of the gap

For the remaning i glued the assembly withouth clips , just lemon tamiya general glue and green cap to glue the hardest zones.

My only real disappointing on this kit is the requirement to use the engines if you don't want to open all the upper doors
