Brilliant work Fermis! Man, I love watching this.

Donkeyshorts, dudes!

Had this one back on the bench for the last few days...

Wing intakes replaced with PE and some plastic "trunking"...



PE and plastic added to main gear bays...



Rudders and elevator removed, re-worked, and reattached with some deflection...



The canopies are all molded closed....NOPE!
Smash-molded new sections...



I masked the new parts, and cut off what was not needed. Carefully (tediously!) cut the kit parts open.



I also ran a rivet wheel over it all!

It’s always a treat to follow your upgrades of kits....

A smash mold works okay. But a modeller with you skills can easily make a vacform box. That will give your canopy a bit more detail.

what a load of stuff you got there for the P-61! I am just sitting back and enjoying the show.

I'm at loss for words, Fermis. Well done! Not too often we find a built kit with canopy open

Not a whole lot to report on this one.
Got the booms and tail on. As with every twin boomer I've done, things don't line up well...a good fit of the tailplane means a poor fit at the wing/nacelle...good fit up front means ill fit in the back. I went for gluing the booms to the wings first, ignoring whatever was going on at the tail, so there'd be a good fit there. Once those were cured, I was able to splay the booms apart enough to be able to get the tailplane in place. I had to squeeze the tails together (wrapped with tape) to make a snug fit. Overall, the fit wasn't too bad.

Well, it’s starting to look like a Widow now! Looking good!
