Thanks guys! Especially for the positive comments and astute observations! Thanks Bruce for your always positive remarks. Your comments made me think about why I enjoy building models. All modelers have a unique approach, of course and I don't see this in terms of right or wrong. Just different.
I'm not really about super-detailing or being 100% accurate or authentic. I dabble in those things but I'm not really a stickler for either. I think what I am trying to do is evoke a response or feeling of the aircraft's character. I want those details to blend in to the total presentation. I just want the aircraft, as a whole, to look "right", whatever "right" means. Like a 3D, color snapshot of a bygone era. I'm just babbling now. .. sorry!

Your comments are astute, John—and I agree with you about seeing the fusion of individual elements as the endgame. I believe your intentions are quite clear and with the previous Dora and now this current project you have incorporated construction elements such as riveting to move the project beyond its design origins. The individualized care is certainly present but never overwhelms your overall presentation; yours is an accuracy which augments the features as well as the historical details. When I read accounts of late Luftwaffe aircraft the lack of raw materials introduces a challenging and often unique construction approach, and you have to my mind found a way to show this. Congratulations!

Nothing wrong with a little self advertising... especially with all the photo hosting shenanigans that have gone on and blighted so many threads...

Glad you repaired and bumped this. Hey, when you think about it; anytime we post some progress or completed pics, we are shamelessly advertising ourselves! LOL!
