have you read the biography of Galland? I guess there are many, but I can recommend the book by David Baker, "Adolf Galland: The Authorised Biography"

It's good, easy reading and very entertaining all in all, recommended!

Nosir, I’ve not read it. I’m working my way through “The First And The Last” at the moment, and will check that one out when I’m finished
