Kick back. If there is one thing that I learned overseas, it’s that at times, anger can be your friend. Controlled, focused, and channeled, it can help get you thru rough times.

These are beautiful, Duke. Just beautiful. I really dig the way you painted these. The way you did the colors and the finish, they look real but also antique, if that makes sense. Maybe better to say that if I were a kid and you were my great uncle, and I was visiting with my folks at your house, and I broke away tonyour study and found all your cool old books and records and your favorite chair, and saw these on a shelf, I’d admire them amazedly, and I’d say “I want to do what HE does.”I hope it does. I think you did a fantastic job. I really like them.

That is a most heartfelt way of putting things.
