Pardon me, I just howled “He got that amazing resin cockpit set!” over and over while having a pretty huge nerdgasm. Now I need a cigarette. And I don’t even smoke cigarettes.

I’ve admired that cockpit set in the catalog, on nights when the insomnia gets me. And when Inwas a kid, I was fond of the F4 Phantom (what a great Jet, right?).

This is going to be hella fun to watch. I can’t wait to see what you do with that cockpit. Oh man...

Pulling out all of the stops on this one! I'm glad you got the Cockpit set in addition to the BIG ED. The PE stuff for the cockpit can't compare with the molded detail on the resin set.

Thanks guys! No pressure huh? I love throwing resin and PE at my builds. They add more detail to the model.

I’ve got a gorgeous Brassin Pratt & Whitney for my upcoming Hellcat build that I am just itching to crack open and start building. The discipline it’s taking for me to leave it alone is nuts!

This is where I'm at right now with the cockpit.

Lots of confidence there, painting the pit before even removing the parts from the casting blocks!

Only the sidewalls are still on casting blocks. It does make it easier to paint the small details.

What color are you using for the base color in the cockpit?

Great kit and tribute to an important man, sir. I wish you the safest possible holiday workshift ever as well.
