Yea! That looks great. If you don’t already have this link, this is where I would go to check the interior and exterior samples against pre-restoration panels and spars:

Yeah, I think that’ll do her! I think that’ll work nicely. It isn’t brown like the Nakajima cockpit green, and it looks just about within the spectrum of these various greens. It’ll be cool to see it on those parts.

And also- thank you for that link. I’ll be scouring that website for sure in the coming weeks.

Good one to clear the palette Kenny! Looks like you got the interior green you were looking for. Looking forward to your work on the pit!

Green looks spot on.

Joan,

Almost! Our good friend Carlos says it will work great for a Nakajima aircraft. However, this particular model is of a Mitsubishi aircraft (I’m totally keeping that formula in my back pocket though because it could come in real handy on future projects).

Anyway, it’s all good. I fell down a rabbit hole this morning over at j-aircraft.com, looking at their collection of samples.

Have a look here:
Image
Chip 18 - 'Mitsubishi Interior Green' ACJ18. Similar to 34089, but more yellow. It is slightly darker than color A31 as found in Mr. Robert Mikesh's 'Japanese Aircraft Interiors'
I’ll see if I can duplicate that one today!

Just doing a side-by-side (er, top-to-bottom) comparison here of the color I hit on, and swatch #18:

HOLY COW YEAH! I mailed the Nakajima color. Mitsubishi is more dark and more yellow. And seeing it in the sample here, it looks almost identical to the green I accidentally stumbled on for my Corsair. I can’t remember the ratios of Yellow Green to Black, but I’m sure I could figure it out.

Or take a look at Mission Models which had released WW2 Japanese colors. Start with color # MMP 104 down:
