Thanks Torbin! Yeah, I hadn't heard of the SG-122 until I built this kit. It is an interesting vehicle that proves the adage that necessity is the mother of invention.

About the SA-6 Gainful; I had a suspicion it was part of the East German Army at the time of the re-unification, but until recently; I'd had no photographic proof. I am hoping to do all the East German vehicles with West German crosses on them as they appeared after the reunification before they were sold or scrapped. I even have a couple aircraft and helicopters with West German markings on them!

Carlos, so far no. That is one of the vehicles that have never been done in 1/72 scale; along with a Shilka, M-42 Duster, M-198 Howitzer, M-47 Patton or M-41 Walker Bulldog. Thanks for that info though; if someone ever does release on *cough*Trumpeter!*cough* I'll be sure to pick up and extra one. You gotta admit, it is such an ungainly looking vehicle; I'm surprised nobody has kitted one just because of that!

According to Scalemates, a French Company, MM, makes resin M42 and M47 in 1/72. There is also a couple older M41 kits in 1/72 out and a new one announced. Armor and Toxso have 1/72 ZSU 23-4 kits. Only the M198 is goose egg for now...

Thanks for that info Carlos. I guess when I say there's no kit out there, I should specify there's no Injection Molded Plastic kit out there. I try to stay away from resin kits because of the difficulty in getting any of the parts to line up properly due to the quickness in CA setting. Then I have to try and cut or pry the part off which leads me to burying the exacto blade deep in my hand or finger. I much prefer the injection plastic kits.

Besides, look at the fine print on that Krug: "For adult modelers aged 18 and above."

I'm still 10 mentally when it comes to modeling!

The Toxso kit is most likely vapor due to the fact that the company folded soon after releasing all the lineup they had about a year ago. Again, everything else you showed is a resin kit and; unless I'm woefully uninformed, there still isn't a plastic kit out there of any of them so far. Another goose egg: The Ontos in 1/72 scale I.M. plastic.

Mark, I can remember when 1/35 had less out there than 1/72.... hang in there buddy. Your landships will come in!

Doing my best Carlos. It can be so frustrating seeing all the newest 1/35th scale models come out of vehicles we've been screaming for for years.... and sometimes decades; in 1/72 scale. Especially when all the manufacturers excitedly announce yet another Panther, Tiger or 251 halftrack in 1/72 scale!

Until then, I now have plenty of models to build while I wait; especially due to that latest haul from ACE.
