You have done a tremendous job with the paint work so far. Very nice work!

Lovely stripes. I couldn't get it to be so uniformed and even.

It takes a fair bit of prep work. I measure the outer edges first and mark them with a pencil then using a ruler, measure off the spacing in a number of places. I did the leading edge then moved to about half way down the wing and again at the trailing edge. It isn’t always exact but you get a feel for where it should go. I tape from the outer edges, both outboard and inboard first with Tamiya curved tape on all the facing edges. A lot of check measuring and adjusting later you have the borders done. Then just fill in the blocks. Double check your edges and burnish again just before you paint. Well thinned paint and about 15psi with lots of light passes to avoid build up on the edges. Keep the A/B at 90 degrees to avoid paint creep. You would think I had it down pat but I still gotta couple of areas to rework but less than before.

Heh - It took me a week and numerous cussing to finally get the stripes nice and uniformed. The worst place to mask them have always been around the fuselage. The big difference is I hand brush my stripes rather than airbrush them using Vallejo Off White and Floquil (?) Weathered Black. I wanted to present it as a hand brushed look. My lines are subtle to look like they're straight but in reality, they're not.
