I can see that, the Brit's still use Islanders/Defenders for some patrol work IIRC. I know we have to do the best we can to protect the guys and gals in the field, but for some work I could see some of these low cost aircraft would be ideal with the right avionics and equipment - probably cheaper than some drones/UAV's in fact.

mind you, they're not New and Shiny so that'll never catch on.
