1/144 scale. 1 actual inch equals 144 scale inches or 12 scale feet. Three inch long deck, means 36 foot long in scale... :hmm:

You’re off to a great start!

Lyle, No worries, Mate! My weak attempt at sounding like I am from somewhere other than North Idaho.

Stikpusher, I was kinda vague on the deck measurement, 3 and 3/4 long, so 45 scale feet. The hull measures 4 and 1/2 inches or 54 scale feet.

This is brilliant man! Excellent work here, I'll be following along well.

I actually have an old 1/96 scale set of all three of these ships offered in one box. I believe I even started them, but have no idea where they are now.

This will be fun to watch!

Great scratch building skills. What are your plans for her sails? I imagine a good set of sails and rigging are going to help define the project. What a goal—to turn bathtub models into accurate ones! I am onboard for the ride.

Bruce, thanks for the comments, they help me keep going!

I will use painted coffee filters with small gauge wire hidden around the edges to shape them.

Duke, thank you for showing interest in my build. I have to tell you about a conversation with my wife.

'We are modelers - the same in spirit, in hunger to insanely buy newly released kits, hustlers in hiding our stash from our better halves and experts in using garbage as replacements for after-market parts.'
... and she could not stop laughing!

This is my new motto, thank you.
