Nice! That's going to look fab under paint.

I often think these little Revell 1/72 WWI kits are a really good basis to build a nice model.

The DH 2 looks so good, so special!

But I would never dare to start building it... Not the easiest WW1 plane, more the opposite in my humble opinion.

Very interesting to follow this build!

Very cool! Such a big difference in the kit and resin guns.

Wow, you are doing sensational work on this. I built one a long time ago, all OOB so it looks nowhere as great as this does already. Brilliant work man, I'll continue following this.

I finally used some paint! Anyhow, I think I have the gun worked out. I modified it like this.

I wanted my Lewis gun to look like these 1/32 scale guns.

After paint, it looked like this.

That's some good detail on that gun in 1/72. What you are doing with the cockpit is great work

Thank you, Floki

The gun is so tiny!

My cat knocked a sprue off my workbench and my puppy chewed on it!

It should look like this.

Well I could not find a kit on-line. I will either contact Revell or try my hand at scratch building both frames. Any suggestions?

Good luck!! My first thought would be to scratch build the interior sidewalls to make the repairs. I checked with one of the online sellers I know and he has a full Revell kit he can sell and ship for $30. I checked out a Hi-Tech resin upgrade set sold with a complete Airfix kit for starting bid $11 on eBay.

If that is interior sidewall detail, I’d look at getting some Evergreen strip styrene in the appropriate sizes. Scratching that up is easier than you think. And quite inexpensive too!
