Thanks John! Man, you are overdue. Time to shake a leg and get to one.

Thanks Floki! It was a blast!

Thanks Medic!

Congrats on the Bronze in the ship division. :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:
Did Bruce show?
Yeah I did forget the camera so my phone got a workout. As for the sale items, check out the "Latest Acquisitions" thread to see what I got. Thanks for the congrats! It felt good knowing what competition was there. No, Bruce had work which is more important.
Stikpusher wrote:Bravo Mark! Which ship of yours won Bronze?

Thanks Carlos! I took bronze with the 1/700 scale Dragon USS Virginia. I'm gonna try to post that pic soon in the Trophy Case.

Thanks Stuart! One of the best birthdays ever!

Now, here are some pics from the show. First up is a shot of some of George Creed's models he finished before he passed:

Here is a number of cars that looked fantastic there:

Next we'll go to Sci-Fi and Fantasy since there were so many outstanding models all over!

When was the last time you ever saw one of these built? He even made him into the evil Spock from the alternate universe, although you can't tell that from this angle:

Image

Not sure where this ship came from but this model is stunning!

Image

This is Bag End from the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings series. You can see Gandalf greeting Bilbo at the base:

Image

And finally, Baby Yoda:

Image

Along with that, here's a couple other figures that looked great. First is Cesar, looking at me like I owe him money:

Image

Next is this much smaller version of the Death Dealer that I have:

Image

Now for a few things more conventional... like aircraft...

This is in 1/32 scale; a Wingnut Wings kit:

Image

This is a 1/72 scale BMW 003 jet engine, tricked out to the nines:

Image

Here's a couple more 1/72 scale aircraft:

Image

Image

Here's a 1/48 scale Tamiya Swordfish:

Image

Along with aircraft, there were helicopters. This little 1/72 scale job is one i want badly:

Image

This Mi-8 Hip was simply sensational:

Image

Now for some 1/35th scale armor. This gun truck rocked! I love the Punisher skull on the side:

Image

I hope to replicate that in 1/72 scale someday.

This vehicle had a complete engine and a full interior. My pics don't do it justice:

Image

Here's my poor attempt to shoot the interior:

Image

Takom T-55. I plan on doing one of these in 1/72 scale, only with West German markings from after the reunification:

Image

Another interesting Churchill conversion:

Image

In dioramas there were some interesting ones. Here's one I rarely see; something involving a ship:

Image

There were two interesting dioramas with a bit of a 'lusty' theme. First this one.. Take a close look at the girl on the bike:

Image

This one was even more blatant about it. Here you don't see anything on this side of the diorama:

Image

But on this side, you see what the troops marching by outside are missing:

Image

If anyone gets too offended by that, let me know; I can take it down.

This is an interesting diorama done all in shades of grey like an old photograph:

Image

I couldn't help but like the wooden bridge on this one:

Image

Now here is all of the 1/72 scale armor that smoked me out of that category this year. There weren't very many at all! If it weren't for my 17 entries plus-or minus; then this would have been a very slim category:

Toxso Models Iraqi SCUD B:

Image

Modelcollect Syrian T-72:

Image

Tiger I, manufacturer hidden:

Image

Master Box (?) Mk I Female "Dracula":

Image

Roden British Armoured Car:

Image

And finally the Flyhawk FT-17:

Image

Here's a couple interesting things I also saw. These were not in the contest, but were on the Monroe Perdu table being shown off. First was this church I would love to have. It's a laser cut wood model:

Image

Right next to it was this hilarious model:

Image

Well that's all I have from the show. Enjoy!

Oh man, talk about a blast from the past. I had that Star Trek kit growing up in the 70s.

Mark!

Three of the sci-fi projects were done by my buddy Oggie! Here’s a link to the Mr Spock build.

The Nostromo from Alien... “ In space, no one can hear you scream”

My understanding is the ship at the front (lighter color) is the Nostromo and the four large gothic piles connected together behind it is the refinery. Martin Bower who built the model calls it “Nostromo and Refinery.” Not to be a rivet counting sumbitch about it, of course.
