Glued the ear back on that I broke off, sanded 'em up, drilled out the barrels of their weapons and the front sight on the M-16, and primed them.

They'll be needing names. I think Helmut for M16 gnome and, let's see . . . what's another good German name for .50 cal gnome? Carlos! Helmut and Carlos it is.

I found an old can of Model Master OD spray paint in my model stuff and figured if I was going to use it for anything other than spraying camo on my scary black battle rifle, this would be the best use for it. So, I put Helmut and Carlos in a box in the backyard and sprayed 'em. Look how happy they are to be outside in their natural environment. Especially Carlos. He looks very pleased behind that .50.

Hmmm, Carlos looks a bit taller in his profile pic. Must be the light.

Carlos a german name? Sounds more like spanish/south america. You know, like Carlos the Jackal:

Yes, well if Carlos doesn't have some German blood from some distant ancestor pumping through his veins I'd be very surprised.

Lots of Germans settled in Latin America in the late 1800's... Look up Banda music to see their legacy in that part of the culture...
