Now I wished I did. Definitely an old kit. Looking forward to more Lyle. Seems like a simple straightforward to kit build. Hell, even the rigging looks too simple to do
Regarding the hatch...I MAY try scribing one, I don’t know. My main concern was if the “hood” was removable or not. Looks like a definite not. More filling on that part.

This is about as basic a kit as you could ask for. Got the wings, elevators and rudder on today. Also closed up the fuselage, which was done bit by bit. Big and round, nothing inside for support. But, it is coming along.

Glad to see you're staying alive and already starting on this Bee Gee racer. I'll show myself out now....

Gee Bee... I remember there being a 1/32 scale kit from when I used to model by a company called Williams Brothers? Didn't know Lindberg made one. Good luck!

Clint, we are fine, been spending a lot of time working on the deck. New steps, top rails and a couple of 16’ boards. It takes me two to three times what it would take anyone else.

Piddling along on this one. Thanks for checking in.

I’ve seen the Williams Brothers kit, I most likely bought this one because it was cheaper.

I have decided to not worry about the hatch. Taking some of my own advice......Anyway, that large piece on the top of the fuselage that looks to be removable? I'm thinking that since this is a Lindberg kit, they did that so you could motorize it. There was a guy on FSM that did the Williams Bros. kit, added a motor and made a hanger to hide wires, etc. Sharp build.

This had to be the first egg plane!

Head on shot, she is rockin' it.

And, to my chagrn...too heavy handed with the putty. Now we play the sanding game. Great fun with the fluted sides. :headbang: :headbang:

But, as I said to Bruce, just build it. I may grab the sanding materials, grinders, power tools and go out on the patio and pretend that I am whitling. Maybe Andy Taylor will stop by!
