Thanks, Lyle.
Carlos, I could put 9 Monogram G's on an airfield without adding any more to the stash. They've often been inexpensive, and never dear, and I have little willpower. Is that dumb or what. Have a bunch of the different Monogram B-24's as well. I should get some of the tractors and trailers out of them. The Cletrac is simple but still neat.
Bruce, thanks and you're welcome. I've had Canon cameras in the past. The only aftermarket lens I have ever had was a Vivitar 300mm lens and it was a disappointment. I feel like I can trust the Pentax glass, although some are not the best in one respect or another. Pretty hard for me to spend more than 5 or 6 hundred dollars on a lens, even though it's better to spend money on glass than camera bodies in the long run.

That is awesome. I have always been partial to Minolta myself; I still have my old Minolta from my Yearbook days in high school. Back then, when I signed up to be a yearbook photographer, my faculty director handed me that Minolta and two film canisters sayin, "Get me faces." in my candid shots. I got him loads of faces; most people never saw me coming.
At graduation, he came up and handed me that Minolta saying that he'd never had a better photographer before me and that I earned that camera as a graduation present. I still have it.
Okay, back to your regularly scheduled program showing outstanding models by John.

I like the truck but I really dig that Mantis. One of the top predators in the micro universe.

Yeah, they are but they have a lousy work ethic. I put one in an airplane hangar once to clear out the black widows and it either lost the fight or just headed west. I saw on a nature program one of them killing a black widow by ripping the legs off one by one.

Love the truck as well as the other pieces in that display John. Photography and tools used to accomplish it are fantastic. I upped the ante a couple of years ago by getting a better camera. Not as elaborate as what you've got but it gets the job done better than average.

Thanks, Joe. For some reason I find building the trucks a lot of fun. Even though I know the subject pretty well I don't get hung up with the details. As for the camera, sometimes I wonder if I just build models so I can have fun taking pictures of them.
