I used clear resin on this Nitto 1/100 727 I made for a friend. I think it would have a nice effect if it were lighted. I did make masks for it. If you do the windows with white glue there is no masking because you wait to do the window filling at the very last. The resin was filled from the inside and then sanded smooth on the outside.

This is gonna look excellent Lyle! I have done a couple airliners in 1/72 scale: a 737, B-377 and a DC-6. Yeah, they can be a challenge! I'm looking forward to seeing more.

The only thing about airliner models that I've never understood is the pristine finish - when have you EVER flown on a pristine airliner? I've seen a few that were weathered that looked pretty cool.

Actually, a number of times. Southwest Airlines really takes care of their planes.

Know what is fun? Well, i'm a having some fun now....started decals on this guy. Was looking at the overall plane and thought to myself, "Hmm, this rascal doesn't look quite right." Then I saw why. About 1 1/2 inches of the port wing tip was missing. There is a joint there where the bottom half joined the upper half. Never figured out why nor did I find it after a severe sweeping of the floor. So, I made something that will work so it can be completed. Used the horizontal stabs from the old Victor kit to cut a piece. There is some Bondo on it now to smooth it out. I love this hobby.

lol! Really?! Awesome - can they come and clean some of ours!? The last time I flew, the heap that took us to Ireland looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. There were even a couple of unpainted panels under the wing!
