53 Ford Pickup in Hallmark Channel colors

My first "car" was a 53 Ford F-100. It had a straight 6, I didn't realize or else I forgot they were still putting in flathead V-8's in 53. I had to work on my engine because it had a loose wrist pin.

Those wreaths look good - did you get them from a dolls house supplier in the end?

Thanks for the kind words. Working on the chassis now. The destructions are hilarious though. Almost like “just glue some crap here.”

Well, the wreaths came from Hobby Lobby. Whitewalls coming from somewhere on EBay, garland with little bitty lights (no they don’t light) from a dollhouse supplies on Etsy. The.decorationsare out of scale, 1/12 versus 1/25 for the truck, but I could not find any in 1/25.

good points. I doubt the hood will ever be up on this one. It is to be set out as a Christmas decoration.

Then I wouldnt worry much about colors. Looking good from that perspective so far.

Nice. I was thinking you could reassemble two of the wreaths to use as garland, perhaps? Also check out model railroad scenery kits!

SWMBO had the same idea. I believe they are too heavy, and HO stuff and didn’t find anything.

A thought for you, have you checked miniature Christmas decorations on Etsy? Our Daughter has an Etsy store and was amazed at the variety of things sold there looking at the site when she told us about it. Perhaps some dollhouse and HO scale decorations wouldn't appear to out of scale for this build

The garland I bought is off Etsy. All I saw was 1/12. . . Then my eye crossed!
