Thank you Stuart! I appreciate you following along! Usually I'll have certain ideas or results predetermined in my mind and I've never had a built that hit all of those and this one is no exception. Some successes and some failures... but always enjoyable and always happy to see it finished. Sometimes the model itself will start dictating its own outcome... kinda develops its own personality, as it were.

Thank you Carlos! I appreciate the nice words. Who knows about success at model contests... gotta be in one to find out and I really don't have plans to do that. But it would be interesting to chat with fellow modelers so maybe some day.

Thank you Duke! Modeling is a hobby that I enjoy and it allows me to apply very personal thoughts and interpretations on my subjects. I understand that not everyone agrees with these choices but that's what makes it worthwhile.

Thank you Torben! I don't keep track of the hours that I spend on the modeling bench. But I started this one in June, took a 2-month break in August/September and started up again in October. So about 4 months where I was actively working on it. No idea of the hours though!

Every modeler is different. I'm not a scratchbuilder or super-detailer but I do pay attention to details. I want my models to look authentic but I don't mind if they are not 100% accurate. Exhaust openings and gun barrels much be HOLLOW but I don't really care if my dihedral is off a few degrees. I took the time to shave the molded brake lines on the landing gear so that they appeared to be round in cross section and yet if you look at the model photos, you wouldn't know. We modelers are a strange lot.

Well, the Me262B night fighter project is off and running. And I still have a Fw190D-13 that I had started and stopped so that one needs to be revisited at some point in time. On the shelf, I have a few kits (including aftermarket stuff) including a Tamiya Spitfire XVIe and Italeri F-86F, both in 1/32 scale. And then there is that giant robot model I just bought. And that King Tiger that I bought a while ago but never started. That should keep me occupied for a while!

Thanks John! I appreciate it. I've seen the IPMS SD website but have hesitated on making a visit. I think I'd feel better about it if I knew someone.
