If I recall correctly, I got mine for a buck fifteen at my local 7-11 way back when. Mowed a lawn for three bucks and rode down to the store and bought it with some paints and glue.

Those were the days. I remember going to the Kresge [.5 and .10 cent store] and buying the Monogram Snake dragster. It was $2.25 and I thought that was outrageous.
