May I ask about the "clean" strips along the upper panel lines on the nose and engine booms; what does that represent? It is lighter colored in the center than the surrounding paint and I wondered if there was tape there on the originals, like that seen on the upper cowling of Corsairs?

Thanks Gary. Truthfully I'm not sure the reason they taped off the panels on these. I believe it was for shipping. Most of the photos of Pacific Lightnings show these in some form or another. Perhaps ETO too, I was trying to replicate it without getting crazy with it.
