Love the bearcat.
It looks amazing in the air.
On the ground it looks a little dopey, like its walking on tippy toes or something.
Cant wait to see what you do with this.

Ya, the Sea Fury and the Bearcat are the top of my list for the last of the piston engine fighters. Hotrods and great looking airframes.

The Bearcat is growing on me. I’ve seen one fly at an air show, but it was at a distance, and something of a mellow routine compared to what I’ve seen some warbirds perform. Haven’t yet seen one on the ground up close, but hopefully one day in the not too distant future I will.

Oh the Sea Fury I love!!!! Saw one of those at a different air show, up close when it was idling on the ramp prior to take off no later during its fly by routine in the air. Man you could just feel the power of that bird! A beautiful big beast!

Ya know, when it went from Hawker Siddley and English Electric to British Aerospace then to international consortiums the cutting edge fantastic flying machines of British origin became a thing of the past. The TSR.1 was the end of that line. A true shame and loss to world aviation.

Thanks for the tip on that Mike. I’m sure that someday I’ll make it to an air museum that has a Bearcat. Pima is a couple of hours drive east of me, and Palm Springs is another hour or so more drive to the west. Hopefully one of those has a Bearcat. If not, maybe that gives me an excuse to go to Pensacola and the Naval Aviation Museum.

Minimal progress today, I’m trying to wrap up a few other projects that are nearing their respective finish lines. But I did have a good airbrush session for all three builds. For this one, I used Humbrol Acrylic Interior Green in the lower portion of the cockpit tub. Thinned with plain old water the stuff came our smoother than with the previous thinners that I had tried.



Now I have to do all the detail painting and weathering in there, so it will be awhile before I have more progress photos…
