Interesting to be sure. I'd bet that designer later was involved in putting spark plugs where you could not get to them, as well. Besides, you couldn't just throw those scraps of styrene away, now, could you?

Of course not, Lyle. I tell my wife it's my way of recycling! :D

I think, if I actually took the time, I could build a scale replica of the Brooklyn bridge with all my scrap styrene......

Alrighty then....

I took some time this morning to do a little, albeit tedious, work on the G.50. Today we mounted pimples. Apparently, in an effort to drive me batty, the G.50 had little bumps all around the engine cowling. As near as I can figure with damaged brain, it appears as if they might have provided rocker arm clearance on the actual aircraft. On the model, all they provide is eyestrain.

You'll notice they are tiny. Actual size is akin to a sesame seed. Imagine having to attach these to all the Big Mac buns at Macdonalds! Now I see why fast food workers might need $25 per hour!

Until next time.....

Well, I've almost completed the cockpit, and took some pics too. However, I forgot to load them onto photobucket from my phone, and the signal is too weak here to do it. I'll have to post them tomorrow. :headbang:

In the meantime, I'll hold my phone up to the computer. Maybe you can see them that way.....

Here's that interior I mentioned.

Just needs a little toning down. Maybe some more dirt. It IS supposed to be in Libya, after all.

Those bumps on the cowling look like a very tedious job. One of those typical short run quirks.

Cockpit looks nice, that Italian seatbelt with chain is always a bit weird.
