Looks great already! Brilliant idea using black to check the seams. Silver works just as well, if not better to see the imperfections. I'm glad to see this is back on!

Looking good. I don’t know if you want an idea about how to paint paneling or the suggestion of paneling at that scale but I built a Space 1999 Eagle and added paneling by cutting friskettes from thin cardboard with the outlines of paneling (I used my Dad’s old business cards) and spraying different greys and blues very lightly over the base coat.
