When Tamiya reissued the kit I immediately jumped on it. Curious to see what you'll do with yours.

The only major gripe I have with this kit thus far is how they molded the front of the body. The kit is two pieces up front to cover the radiator vents where the real car is all one piece. When you add the kit piece it totally doesn't look like the real car. I have glued it on, filled the gap with CA and covered that with filler. I will make a round rod to hold the paper while I shape that area of transition. It's a lot of extra work, but it will look far better. I have yet to see anyone on Youtube build this part correctly. I think it makes a HUGE difference in its look. I'll toss some pics up soon.

Starting to make some headway on the Mercedes. I have the nose piece glued in and filled. The kit part just adds this where the real car the nose is all one piece. I have filled the gap with CA and putty. I primed all the parts and found the nose to still need some work. More sanding and she is looking ready for more primer. Filled some pin holes with CA again. I have also started to paint all the small parts. I hope I can paint the body this weekend, but I'm not gonna rush it. I want it perfect. That's it for now.
