I've done some research (extensive and expensive) on this scheme and it seems that there were at least two Stukas (maybe three) that are documented as having carried the "snake"...recent scholarship suggests that the inside of the snake was NOT painted red but probably left in the "base" camo scheme, so the snake was probably just an outline in white...regardless, I tend to think that if or when I do this a/c its gonna be a hard choice as to which way to portray it!!!

Just sayin...

I hear ya on that Manny. I have the decals for the red and tan motif and initially it was a tough call in determining which one was more accurate. In the end it was a matter of personal choice. The red just looked a tad bit more obnoxious and sinister to me.

Almost as sinister as a shark's mouth. Almost... :Shark:
I love your red and sinister snake and want it to bite me on the arse...

LOL!! I've given thought of building another one with the tan snake motif from Cartograph. I've got another Hase 87 in the stash. Got a couple more other builds up my sleeve until I have an opening for that though. We'll see what happens.
