I haven't sniffed my bench in weeks. Out working in this heat just saps your energy. Put in 60 hours last week.

Remember its supposed to be an enjoyable hobby not a job. If the kit isn't worth it, trash it, sell it, trade it. I've got a few the may end up in the sell pile

I'll take a couple if you need it off your hands.

I feel ya Lyle. It's been incredibly hot here. Hottest I've ever seen in Houston and it just kills any energy you have.

And earlier this year I went through some builds that were on the shelf of someday and tossed some that were really killing my mojo. I ain't got time for that.

I have been thinking of trashing kits too. I have a decade's worth at least of unfinished builds sitting in bins and on shelves. I keep saying I will finish one before opening another...but well, new kits with updated tech...

Maybe this will be my rest of summer project, sift through and finish a 3/4 built kit or three. Surely that won't take as long as starting a new one?

Another way to cull the stash of in progress is sell or give away models. If they're headed to the trash, may as well let someone else have a go at them.
I'm sorry to hear your troubles though, I hope a break is helpful to you

Yeas, I do read and consider it. Still haven’t decided what I’ll do with them. Some I am just tired of, some I am stuck in a particular step and a few are simply junk. We’ll see.

Well Lyle, I know how you feel. Dealing with a few health issues right now, as well as heat makes me feel the same. Not to merntion that in the process of trying to upgrade my computer, my wife erased all my photos of my finished and unfinished models... among other pics and screenshots. These were all pics of my models taken with my camera so they never made it to the cloud. This has made it tough for me to get more pics edited and posted. I'm hoping that somewhere there is another backup of that drive so I can restore these.

Once I get another whiskey; I'll have that drink....and one for you as well.

I'll also take any 1/72 scale kits, or ship kits off your hands if you have any that you're looking to cull. Let me know and I'll send you my address.

Mark, if you can, take your computer to a shop and see if they can recover the information. Sometimes they can. Simply erasing the item doesn't delete it, only the entry in the address table.

That's true, this is why they say to drill multiple holes before disposing of a drive.
