Yes, I’ve built one each of the old Tamiya and Hasegawa 1/48 Zeros. Both are nice older kits. You did a really nice job on the old A6M2, and the new kit is coming along beautifully. Very fine work for only a couple of hours at your bench.

Thanks, Carlos. I have the base/underside color on, White Ensign Mitsubishi Grey-Green. Waiting for dark green for Mitsubishi to get here from Sprue Bros.

Another update. Markings painted on, and the dark green was done as a dense mottle to replicate fading and an uneven application as I think it was done in the field. Never fear, I have the broken antenna part!

You are a speed builder john! I read somewhere that Japanese aircraft radios were just about useless , at least the ones in the zeros, and most of the time they removed them and cut off the mast to save weight...

That's true, Chris, but I had to choose markings that had one....

Almost done, need to do some chipping with a silver pencil and maybe some weathering, oils?

Say what you like about the Japanese in WWII (none of it good), but man they made some gorgeous looking aircraft... I need to build another Zero!
