Yeah. It was fighting me. I should have trimmed the excess clear border before dipping in the water. Oh well... the canopy is already glued in place.

Last night, undersides was sprayed with Light Ghost Grey. Tonight, Neutral gray on front portion and tail rudder.

Paint is on! Light Ghost Grey undersides, Neutral Grey tail rudder, front nose area, sidewinder rails, Gunship Grey/XF-24 Dark Grey FS36118 topside.




I got ambitious to repaint the sidewinder main color using Camo Grey. Good enough for me since this bird will be in Portugese scheme.

Gloss clearcoat sprayed on this morning. Started decal session this evening. I’m about halfway done with decals because I’m stuck on which stencils goes where. The aftermarket decal placement instruction guide isn’t too clear designating which decal goes where. Decal number assignment are all wrong. I got most of the obvious ones on. Some I cross referenced from the kit’s instruction guide for decal placements. The decals on the AM sheet doesn’t tell me where they go. After looking online, now I know which ones go where. I’ll resume tomorrow at some point.

Once decals are completed, minor assembly is left. I should have this bird finished by the end of the weekend.
